Neurotoxins

A combination of factors can cause facial lines. It’s not just about the cellular changes that may occur, reduction of collagen, or damage caused by free radicals from the sun and the environment. Repeated muscle contractions from frowning, squinting, or raising eyebrows cause skin to furrow and fold, gradually resulting in the formation of facial lines. Neurotoxins work beneath the surface and temporarily reduce the underlying muscle activity that causes moderate to severe frown lines, crows’ feet and forehead lines in adults.

Botox^®

Botox^® Cosmetic is the first and only treatment FDA-approved to temporarily make moderate to severe frown lines, crow’s feet, and forehead lines look better in adults. So you look like you, only with less noticeable facial lines. Treatment requires minimal downtime. You can return to your daily routine immediately after you leave your specialist’s office. You may begin to notice results within 24 to 48 hours, with full results in 30 days, with results lasting up to 4 months for moderate to severe frown lines.

Over the first week, you will begin to notice results with full results visible within two weeks. The injection typically lasts about 3-4 months.

Xeomin^®

Xeomin^® is a prescription medicine that is injected into muscles and used to improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines) in adults for a short period of time.

For patients who have built up a tolerance to Botox ® or are seeking a more natural product, Xeomin^® is a good option.

The first visible signs of lessening wrinkles and fine lines will begin to show after 5-7 days post treatment. Your skin will continue to show improvement over the first month. Results can last 3 months or longer.

Dysport^®

Dysport^® is a natural-looking, fast-acting, long-lasting prescription injection proven to help smooth moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows (glabellar lines)—without changing the look or movement of the rest of your face.

After 2-4 days, the injection will begin to take effect. The first few days after treatment, your forehead may have minor swelling and feel tender but these symptoms will subside soon. Within a week, your forehead’s appearance will begin to change. After about a month, wrinkles will begin to retreat leaving your forehead smoother. Results typically last 3-4 months.

Before administering, ice compresses are administered to numb the treatment area. After treatment, ice may be applied to ensure comfort.

Facial Fillers

Hyaluronic acid, or HA, is a natural substance in the body that delivers volume to the skin. Modified HA is the main ingredient behind JUVÉDERM^®. Getting treated with JUVÉDERM^® helps add volume to different areas of the face without surgery while also temporarily restoring the volume loss beneath the surface.

JUVÉDERM^®

JUVÉDERM^® VOLLURE^® XC, JUVÉDERM^® Ultra Plus XC, and JUVÉDERM^® Ultra XC injectable gels are for injection into the facial tissue for the correction of moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, such as nasolabial folds. JUVÉDERM^® VOLLURE^® XC injectable gel is for adults over 21. JUVÉDERM^® Ultra XC injectable gel is also for injection into the lips and perioral area for lip augmentation in adults over 21.

Results can often be seen the day of injection. Any minor swelling typically subsides within two weeks of treatment. Results can last up to two years.

Restalyne^®

Our patients see results immediately post treatment. Skin volume and texture can continue to improve for two weeks. Any minor redness or tenderness typically lasts no more than 2-3 days.

Revanesse^®

Revanesse^® Versa™ is a hyaluronic acid dermal filler that can be used to treat moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds, including nasolabial folds. Revanesse^® Lips™+ is indicated for submucosal implantation for lip augmentation in patients 22 years of age or older.

You will see noticeable improvement in your skin’s volume immediately post treatment. Any redness or tenderness will reduce after a few hours. The results can last up to 12 months.
